Join us in the closing of this exciting exhibition.
Join Present Tense artist Jessica Kung Dreyfus on Saturday, September 19, 2015; 2PM to 3PM at CCC Visual Art Center. Her work explores the relationship between technology, language, and body. For the talk “Something about the Progression of an Idea,” Dreyfus will share her artwork and creative process.
J Kung Dreyfus received her MFA from California College of the Arts in May 2015 and received a BA cum laude from Yale University in 2004. She recently released her first publication with her husband, Stéphane Dreyfus, entitled “Unspoken: Through Silence Emerges the Voice of the Artist.”
Currently on view at Chinese Culture Center is Present Tense: Future Perfect (June 13 – September 19, 2015). The exhibition highlights emerging artists of Asian descent working in today’s Bay Area. In the third edition of this exhibition series, the Visual Art Center recognizes the vital presence of artists at a key juncture of their developing careers. Rather than a broad survey, the exhibition itself is designed to give each artist room to express their specific themes, mediums, and formal inquiries. The show honors these artists in a city that is increasingly difficult to navigate career wise due to rising rents and limited venues.
