Marcela Escamilla is a hardworking mother, daughter, and a leader in Colectiva de Mujeres. She said participating in the project was “unforgettable… Overall, it opened up my heart a little more. It was motivating to experience being in a group of women and realizing we were carrying so much on our shoulders.” Marcela Escamilla 是一位辛勤的母親、女兒，也是Colectiva de Mujeres的一名領隊。她說，這個組織”使她難忘⋯⋯打開了她的心。能加入一個女性團隊並且意識到我們肩負的責任，給了我莫大的動力。“ Marcela Escamilla es una madre dedicada, hija y lideresa de la Colectiva de Mujeres. Ella dijo que participar en el proyecto fue “inolvidable…En general, me abrió el corazón un poco más. Poder estar en un grupo de mujeres y darnos cuenta que cargamos tanto en nuestros hombros fue una experiencia motivadora.

How I Keep Looking Up/Como Sigo Mirando Hacia Arriba/仰望 

 

RADIATING LOVE
The heart is in pieces with lines radiating out to represent the distances my love travels. My teenage son and my parents are in Mexico. Thinking about them motivates me to get up everyday; I’m the family provider.

I also love my friend’s daughters a lot. They give me joy and friendship, which I haven’t had in this country. My dream is that my parents and son will see my flag one day.

愛的照耀
這顆心分成很多格，從中心放射出來的每一條線都代表我的愛所穿行的距離。我兒子和父母在墨西哥，每想到他們，我就充滿鬥志，因為我要去養家糊口。

朋友的女兒跟我也很熟，她們給了我喜悅和友誼，這是我之前在美國沒有的。希望有一天我的父母和兒子能看到這面旗。

IRRADIANDO AMOR
El corazón está hecho pedazos, con líneas que irradian desde el centro, para representar las distancias que viaja mi amor. Mi hijo adolescente y mis padres están en México. Pensar en ellos es lo que me motiva todos los días para levantarme; soy el sostén de la familia.

También quiero mucho a las hijas de una amiga. Me aportan alegría y amistad, cosas que no he tenido en este país. Mi sueño es que un día mis padres y mi hijo vean mi bandera.
