SECURING A HOME
I’ve lived in the US for four years, and I’ve moved to four different SROs to give my child a better home and learning environment. Each SRO is better than the last. It’s like the Chinese fable about the mother of a philosopher who moved three times.

The hands in my flag represent me and my daughter, and a mother’s love and care for her children. I hope to guide my daughter to learn and explore in America, and give back to the community, like my work as a tenant organizer.

我來美國四年就搬了四次家，都是在散戶公寓（SRO），為的是給我小孩一個更好的家和學習環境，而且爭取每次搬都比上一次好，有點孟母三遷的意思。

旗里的手是我和我女兒，它講的是一個母親對孩子的愛。我希望能引導我女兒去發現、認識美國。同時，身為一名散房住客組織者，我也想怎麼能更好地回饋社會。

ASEGURAR UN HOGAR
He vivido en EE.UU desde hace cuatro años, y me he mudado a cuatro SRO diferentes con el objetivo de darle a mi hijo un mejor hogar y ambiente para aprender. Cada SRO es mejor que la anterior. Es como la fábula china sobre la madre de un filósofo que se mudó de casa tres veces.

Las manos en mi bandera me representan a mí y a mi hija, y también el amor y el cuidado de una madre por sus hijos. Espero poder guiar a mi hija a que aprenda y explore en América, así como a devolver algo a la comunidad, tal como lo hago en mi trabajo como organizadora de inquilinos.
