This family-friendly event features interactive art, performances, Chinatown businesses, and a one-of-a-kind “Ghost King Parade” that’s not to be missed.

On the fifteenth day of the seventh month of the Lunar calendar, the veil between the living and the spiritual realms thins. The Hungry Ghost Festival, steeped in ancient traditions, will transport you to a realm where vibrant rituals and joyous celebrations serve as a cathartic experience for ancestors and restless spirits. This unique holiday is a powerful healing force, particularly for those seeking solace from historical injustices and generational traumas.

While deeply rooted in Chinese diasporic communities, this event also brings together artists, collaborators, and partners from indigenous, immigrant, and queer communities, creating an inclusive and dynamic celebration of unity.
