"Retrieved回," a West Coast premiere, dual-sited exhibition narrative of China in the last century. An important collaboration between Chinese Culture Center and SF Camerawork, Retrieved回 is a unique exhibition that brings together three distinctive photographic collections: Kurt Tong's The Queen, the Chairman and I, a personal book tracing his family's immigration from Hong Kong to Britain; Daniel Traub's street photography of African immigrants in Guangzhou; and Thomas Sauvin's Beijing Silvermine, a selection of salvaged photos rescued from a recycled plant in Beijing.

Co-curated by the Chinese Culture Center and SF Camerawork

Artists: Kurt Tong, Daniel Traub, Thomas Sauvin

The exhibition is in partnership with the Wyng Foundation, with additional support from the Andy Warhol Foundation for Visual Arts, Grants for the Arts, Bloomberg Philanthropies, San Francisco Foundation, and the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office
