Media Kit - How I Keep Looking Up/Como Sigo Mirando Hacia Arriba/仰望

Press

Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco (CCC) is pleased to present How I Keep Looking Up/Como Sigo Mirando Hacia Arriba/仰望, a cross-cultural, trilingual art project that uses flags to amplify the stories of working-class immigrant women. Lead artist Christine Wong Yap collaborated with 16 Chinese and Latinx women to share their migration journeys, develop design skills, and create the flags alongside one another as part of a workshop series. The flags will debut at the 2023 Chinese New Year Parade, carried by the women-designers and their families marching in the parade.
